Real and complex vector spaces, linear transformations, determinants, inner products, dual spaces, and eigenvalue problems. Applications to some or all of the following: Ggeometry, systems of linear differential equations, optimization, and Markov processes. This course emphasizes learning to understand and write rigorous mathematics.
