FIP is a pre-orientation program for international students and those who have lived primarily overseas. FIP helps pre-frosh with practical activities like buying a sim card or setting up a bank account. There are also a series of talks to help familiarise pre-frosh with Harvard culture, American culture, and the practicalities of visa/tax compliance.

FIP families

FIP aims to foster community by creating FIP families, groups of 2-3 FIP leaders (FIP parents) and pre-frosh who complete activities in FIP together. FIP families have gone on scavenger hunts through Boston and typically have meals together. Many FIP families remain close after FIP ends.

After FIP

Students can remain engaged in the international community by joining Woodbridge after completing FIP. Woodbridge also hosts international themed parties.
